In reference to the reaction Nick Spencer is currently dealing with (admirably) regarding Captain America - do you ever feel that large parts of the comic community are just sat waiting to find something to get upset about each week?
AnonymousNo, I don’t think those reactions are really coming from the comics community–or indeed anybody who’s actually read the comic in question, for the most part.
It’s very funny to get e-mails from people who have clearly never bought a Marvel comic telling me that they’re never going to buy a Marvel comic again.
I love asking people when they say they’re boycotting something just how much of that they’re buying beforehand. When I do get an answer it’s usually that they’re proud not to have bought it in the first place.
Very effective boycott there…
